In every product, five (5) components combine within the polymeric matrix to function in the following manner to achieve specific benefits:
1) A ceramic polymer backbone cross-links with specially modified nanoparticles within a three-dimensional matrix on the surface to provide the ultimate in durability and gloss.
2) A second element in each coating product works to lower surface energy while imparting anti-static properties thereby creating oil, water and dust (atmospheric debris) repellency.
3) A third component adds elasticity to the hardness of the micro-coating that function to prevent scratches from permanently marring the paint, e.g. surface swirl marks, by re-forming on exposure to heat. (This "self-healing” property is maximized in our Pro’s Choice coatings, particularly PermaGloss).
4) Component 4 is a special polymer that levels the protective surface and assists in the "self-healing” process while contributing to the highest degree of chemical resistance.
5) And the 5th key element, another unique polymer, is a UV absorber which also re-emits UV as heat and light of longer wave lengths.
Each Matrix Micro-Coatings product is designed to confer these benefits to automotive finishes for a specific duration. For example, coatings like HyperPolish and polymeric cleaners like Clean&Gloss will perform these five (5) functions and provide each specific benefit for at least one year, guaranteed. When the application involves combining additional coatings, the resulting surface contains a synergy of these properties. MMC-7 is the highest example of this combination effect whereby the treated paint is guaranteed to remain glossy and protected for a minimum of seven (7) years.
